Howdy.
Lately, having updated my phone to a fancy-schmancy one that is 'Java Enabled'
I've found there's a heap of great software out there for the grabbing on the www.
Would you like to use bible resources from your phone, and access appropriate bible
texts, devotional stuff or resources when you need them?
Best of all, the people who put these java programs (.JAR files) up on the web mostly
provide them as a freebie - to get their material out there being used...bless em.
You can check the copyright notifications for yourself, if unsure.
I plan to tell as many of the Christian kids I know about these, because some of this stuff
could seriously be an emergency spiritual back-up, which they can access when they need it
(whereas you or I can't be there for them all the time.)
To Install a Java Program on your mobile phone:
* Check that your/student's mobile is Java Enabled (ALL of the newer Nokias are.)
* Install the PC Software suite that came with your phone

To Install a Java Program on your mobile phone:
* Check that your/student's mobile is Java Enabled (ALL of the newer Nokias are.)
* Install the PC Software suite that came with your phone
* Run the "application installer" - if your Suite software has it - which transfers the
.jar application onto your phone for you. (If you got no software suite, you may have
to just improvise, or even read your phone's instruction book... last resort for us males.)
Here's three of my favourites, which can be grabbed from a directory called "getjar.com"
- I've included the links to each program's download page. Make sure to select the
compatible .JAR file matching your/student's mobile phone model.
* Who I Am in Christ:
Great resource for re-affirming a kid (or yourself) in the basics
of our relationship with God - bible texts & comments under three headings
"I Am Accepted;" "I Am Secure;" & "I Am Significant."
Author: Material taken from "Victory over the Darkness," by Neil Anderson.

* Renewing Your Mind:
A Devotional program which has seven EXCELLENT bible readings + devo.
comments, in accessible language. All Scripture references are duly recognised
for copyright (yes, it's a legit. freebie.). Seven complete readings (one week.)
Author: Also by Neil Anderson, from his Devotional book "Daily in Christ."
http://www.getjar.com/products/5561/RenewingYourMind
[Neil's website has some great freebie resources you may want to browse: http://www.ficm.org/]
* Go Bible - JOHN:
The entire text of the book of John. Is in King James Version - not the most readable,
but hey - it's free, whaddya expect?!
FEATURES: Fast search (with storing of last results) & Supports all phones including Nokia.

Now it's over to you - take them or leave them. If you do take advantage, I'd love
your feedback of ways you've used them, for yourself or to give away to students.
